Jess made the Wanderer drop out of jump space as if it was just another ordinary trading ship, not showing any of its special abilities. This was no ordinary trip, though. Ahead lay the mining station Dujek, and somewhere within the station was the ship Teeko had been found on.
Teeko was on the flight deck, which was unusual in itself. The alien was radiating tension which was also unusual. Normally Teeko appeared calm, unflappable. Not now. As the Wanderer slowly moved forward Jess drummed his fingers on the console. Impatience built inside him as the distance slowly reduced. He wished they could move faster.
