Natalie couldn't see the man's expression, but she thought, that woman with a curvaceous figure must be liked by many men.
Her upbringing and moral values told her she could not tolerate a man who had a girlfriend but still kept her as a mistress. Her brother's medical bills were paid, and it was time for her to leave. She left the hotel without looking back.
She thought she would never cross paths with this man again.
Two years later.
Cloudmont, Eldoria Elite Hotel, a dozen hotel staff gathered around a conference table.
General Manager Zachary Rivers sat at the head, tapping his pen. "Natalie, have you checked the presidential suite thoroughly? No mistakes, right? The guest arrives at three this afternoon."
Natalie nodded, "Everything's confirmed, no issues..."
Mr. Rivers, with a stern expression, advised, "Also, this guest's schedule is confidential. We have very limited information. We only know he's a big shot we can't afford to offend. Everyone, be on your best behavior and serve him well. Understood?"
"Understood," everyone replied in unison.
"After the meeting, the housekeeping and catering departments must reconfirm the presidential suite's menu. We must ensure this reception is flawless." Mr. Rivers finished his instructions and tossed his pen aside, preparing to adjourn the meeting when someone rushed in from outside the conference room.
"Mr. Rivers, the VIP arrived early and is already at the entrance," a breathless concierge reported.
Hearing this, Mr. Rivers's expression turned serious. He quickly stood up and commanded, "Hurry, everyone go to greet the VIP!"
In an instant, the entire hotel management team stood up and followed Mr. Rivers out of the office and to the elevator.
While waiting for the elevator, Natalie's phone rang.
She opened it and saw a photo sent by the receptionist, Grace. The photo was taken from an odd angle, obviously a sneak shot.
Accompanied by text, "The mysterious big shot is really handsome. Manager, you better come and greet him!"
Natalie smiled and casually opened the photo to look.
With just one glance, her smile froze.
How could it be?!
It was him?!
The man in the photo had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, naturally deep-set eyes, a high nose, and thin lips.
Such superior and noble temperament could only belong to him.
She thought that after two years, they would never intersect again, and she had chosen to completely forget that disgraceful past and live a clean life.
But unexpectedly, today, two years later, he would reappear in her world in such a sudden way.
Natalie was still immersed in fear and unease when the elevator "dinged," arriving at the hotel lobby.
The elevator doors opened, and the "big shot" was already standing in the lobby with his entourage.
Behind them stood a group of black-clad bodyguards, looking like stars surrounding the moon.
His eyes were as sharp as a hawk's, his handsome face like a sculpture. The custom-made suit made him look exceptionally tall and imposing.
Natalie's heart skipped two beats, her breathing becoming erratic.
Mr. Rivers obsequiously approached, "Mr. Collins, please come in. The room is ready, and we've arranged our top butler for you."
Mr. Rivers was entirely focused on pleasing this big shot, not noticing that Natalie was still standing in the elevator like a wooden dummy.
The man's expression was inscrutable. His lazy, downcast eyes suddenly lifted, his calm, deep gaze falling inside the elevator.
Through three or four people, his gaze met Natalie's unexpectedly.
The moment she met his eyes, Natalie clutched the hem of her jacket, her hands and back covered in cold sweat.
It's him!
It really is him!
The man who took her innocence two years ago!
