Odeya's POV
Luckily for me, the door wasn't locked. So, it was easier for me to find my way into the building.
Each step I took sent a burning ache to my heart. My mind also screamed at me to turn back, knowing that I wouldn't be able to take in what I was about to see, but I waved off the fear and continued walking.
I painfully bit my lower lip when I started hearing their moans the moment I got to the front of the room.
A silent cry escaped my lips as I shut my eyes and forcefully pushed the door open to find my husband to be, and my stepsister now fully naked on the bed, with her butt hanging in the air as she tried to ride him.
Both of them snapped their heads toward me at the same time, their mouths falling open in shock at the sight of me.
“Damn,” Mason cursed, roughly pushing my stepsister away from himself. “I can explain to you.” He curled in shame as he roamed his eyes around the room for his clothes.
He sighed, shoulders falling in defeat when he couldn't find them close by because he had flung them to the other side of the bed when they were hurrying to have s*x.
I watched him in pure horror as he stood there beside the bed, covering his manhood with his hand instead.
I stood frozen at the entrance, watching the scene through my teary eyes.
“What can you explain, Mason? You…you were my last hope,” I whispered, feeling deeply hurt.
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
I wanted to jump on him and hit him hard, but I was too weak to move.
“Why?”
“Just pretend that you didn't see this, okay?” He spoke calmly, trying to manipulate me with those eyes that had once looked at me with intense love.
It was all fake after all.
“You contributed to this too.” He pressed his lips tightly, not looking a bit remorseful for what he had done.
My jaw clenched at his accusation.
“You didn't want me and you to have s*x before our marriage. You wanted us to wait until we marked each other before having any intimacy, and you have forgotten that I am a freaking man!” He lashed out angrily.
“What?” My mouth dropped in shock, chills running through my spine. We talked about this, and he respected my decision.
How dare he blame me for his cheating?!
“I am an Alpha Wolf who needs a type of wild s*x that will make my body feel relaxed at least once in two days, and your stepsister was the one who was kind enough to show me that love.” He spoke shamelessly.
I never knew he was this stupid.
My eyes shifted to my stepsister, who was now in her clothes.
A wicked smile was lingering on her face.
“That doesn't mean that I don't care for you too, and I wouldn't marry you. Do you think it was easy for me to keep seeing you and keep ignoring the bond? You are my mate, and it's difficult to handle my s****l urge. Of course you can't understand because you are a Wolfless…” I didn't allow him to finish that sentence before rushing to him and landing a hot slap across his left cheek.
He scoffed bitterly, holding the place I hit.
“I hate you so much,” I cried out, shoving my hand into my hair and grabbing it hard. “It's not because of any s****l urges. You don't love me at all, and you didn't reject me because you want to become…” I clipped my lips instantly as I reminded myself that telling them that I know what their real plan is wouldn't be in my favor.
He literally called me a fat ass.
I can't break down in front of them.
No, no.
I laughed through my tears, trying not to seem affected even though I was burning inside.
“Just forget everything you've seen, baby.” He stepped closer to me, stretching his hand to take mine, but I flinched back as if his touch would sting.
“Your wedding is in three days anyway. So you don't have a choice, or you will be putting our family to shame.” Selene covered her mouth as she yawned, rolling her eyes like she was bored.
"You have put the family to shame by having s*x with the eldest daughter's mate. You are a disgrace," I fired back at her, but she flipped her hand at her nose, meaning that what I said smelled bad.
“The whole Pack already knows that the Alpha's first daughter is getting married to one of the Duskbane sons. After your marriage, he will mark you as his mate in the night and won't dare go closer to another woman. It's a taboo for marked partners to cheat. So, he is all yours after the wedding. You don't have to worry, my dear sister…” Selene waved her hand dismissively, her eyes glinting with a bit of envy, but I know she is only saying this because she knows their backup plan.
She has always wanted anything I had.
These two don't regret it, and they even dare to laugh in my face.
My nose flared as anger washed over me.
My heart burned with deep hatred, and an overwhelming urge to hurt them the way they had hurt me surged through my veins.
My lower lip trembled as I stood there, feeling humiliated.
“I, Odeya Dawson, reject you, Mason Duskbane, as my mate!” I declared, staring straight into his eyes.
“You can’t reject me because you are freaking Wolfless, and that will barely take effect!” Mason snapped, pushing me against the wall.
I spat on his face and hit him hard on his forehead. He hissed in pain, staggering backwards.
“I can't reject you, but you can go around to sleep with Selene with that little manhood? ” I shook my head, laughing out loud as I pointed to his naked self.
I was hurt, but faking it.
“I am the only one who can reject you! You have no choice but to marry me. Don’t ruin everything for our parents. Who else are you going to marry?” He challenged me.
“I will show you, Mason. I will marry someone who will love and care for me, and when he marks me instead, the bond will have no choice but to break away.” I argued, knowing deep down that this draws the line on me trusting anyone again.
I don't believe in love anymore.
“Where do you want to see a perfect match for yourself? You are not an ordinary person, you are from a royal family and…”
I cut him off mid-sentence as I raised my hand, eyeing him in disgust.
“I don’t care!” My voice shook with fury. “I will not be the centre of shame, and will also never marry a shameless, dirty cheater like you!” I vowed, not knowing where the confidence in my words came from.
I turned on my heel and rushed out of the building, refusing to let them see the tears burning behind my eyes.
I will take revenge.
I don't know how, but I will.
