Ariel's POV
Something was wrong.
I jolted awake, my heart racing like a wild bird. I threw off the covers immediately, my legs tangled in the sheets. I stumbled, catching myself on the bedpost. The room was spinning, but I pushed through.
Something was really wrong.
I yanked open the door, and a wave of heat instantly hit me. Flames leaked in the darkness, and the sound of shattering glass and metal dropping filled the air.

I stumbled down the stairs, my heart pounding in my chest.
