CHAPTER 44 Ariel’s POV My heart slammed painfully against my chest as goosebumps spread over me. The voice was deep, calm, and nearly familiar. It even had a slightly raised tone, like it was amused at my confusion. “Who are you? Show yourself,” I demanded, trying to steady my breathing.
