Chapter3

The car suddenly came to a halt while she was asleep because of the headache that was torturing her. As she opened her eyes and looked out the window, she felt so daunted and intimidated by the mansion which was before her. The mighty gates automatically opened to let the car into the compound and she could feel the stare of the watchman following her as the car passed through the gates. No sooner had the car stopped and Stanley sprang from his seat, getting out and slamming the door behind him. As she sat there through the whole journey, trying to process everything, a migraine made its way to her head coupled with a sudden burning fever. She tried to move but her body felt too weak to even be capable of moving a single muscle. The calm driver had noticed her predicament and opened the door for her with a concerned expression on his face. Meanwhile, her so-called husband stood there, leaning on the car and staring at his phone screen. “Are you alright miss?” the driver asked with so much concern. She shook her head, a severe pain shooting and piercing through her as she did so. She gripped her skull and laid back on the car seat. The whole world was beginning to spin uncontrollably, and her eyes beginning to tear up. She distinctly heard the troubled driver call for someone to help before it all faded to black. “Is she going to be all right?” He asked and even in the state of near unconsciousness that she was in, she scoffed. He didn't care at all, the tone of his voice made it very obvious. He had left his newly married wife in the car for his phone, which is way more important, and now was putting on an act for only God knows who. Well, sir, I have taken down the required drugs, which are to be administered,d, and a nurse will arrive in a short while to stay with your wife as you have requested. I'm well convinced that when she wakes up, the temperature of her body will be considerably lower. So, sir, there's no need to panic. I scoffed softly again as I heard the doctor say the words “There's no need to panic.” Who? Stanley? It even seemed more like he was at better peace and rest as she was in the state she was in like he enjoyed it. “Couldn't he just drop the act and let me be?” she asked herself. “I'd rather be in this state forever than open my eyes to face reality.” A reality without David. “After all we went through, after all the promises, after all the affection we shared for each other.” “I loved him so much, more than life itself, could it be that we were never meant to be?” The questions made her head hurt and she felt the migraine return once more with vengeance. Her head felt like it was being crushed with the weight of a thousand bricks and she could not keep it in anymore. A low scream left her mouth and immediately she heard someone open the door. “Could it be him? Does he care?” She thought for a second, only to open her eyes to see a maid. “What's wrong ma'am?” She asked softly as she knelt beside her bed. “My head, it's back, the migraine is back.” “Here, take this.” The doctor said it would make the pain go away. The maid made her sit upright and noticed how disabled she was because of the pain. She made her open her mouth and placed some pills inside it, then she placed a glass of water near her mouth, forcing her to drink it. The maid, whom she does not know, showed her so much care and kindness, which melted her heart towards her. “Please do you know where my husband is?” she asked softly “He's in his room, watching TV, I presume, because I could hear the sound of gunshots and powerful soundtracks coming from his room.” “He truly doesn't care about me,” she said as she brought the edges of her lips down and shook her head. “Don't say that, ma'am; he does care about you.” The maid tried to lift her spirit. “How could you say he cares when he's in his room, watching TV and you're in his place, sitting beside me and taking care of me.” “Well, Mr. Stanley could be like that most times, but please do not think about it too much. You are in no condition to think about anything, you will do nothing but increase the pain you are feeling.” “I will leave you to rest now, ma'am,” she said, smiling at her. “Thank you very much, I appreciate,” Jennifer replied holding her softly on her arm. As she turned and began to walk towards the door, Jennifer called out to her. “Wait, I didn't get your name.” “Rose” she replied with a pleasant smile she wore on her face. She woke up the next morning and the pain was gone. She flung the duvet and sprang up from the bed, feeling very much alive and well. Jennifer walked up to the balcony to get some fresh morning air and try to clear her mind and get it off all that was going on. Suddenly, she leaped backward holding her chest firmly in fear as she heard the sound of screeching tires. A black Lamborghini moved speedily and took a halt right below her. She gazed at it, expecting Stanley to come out of it, but to her greatest surprise, the person who came out of the car was putting on high heels. Stanley came out of the house, and and and walked up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and gripping her firmly. He leaned in and gave her a lasting French kiss. She gulped as the two continued to have an intense make-out session right there in the trunk of the car. “Oh I love you, baby,” Stanley said to her as he squeezed her buttocks. “Mhmm hmmm, I know, Daddy,” the blonde Latina replied, biting her lips. “How about we take it inside so I can make you scream?” He asked as he looked straight into her eyes with flirt. “I think I like that idea” she replied as they both giggled. Jennifer got irritated and ran back to her room. She didn't know why, but she felt hurt. “It just isn't right, he is already having s*x with girls? It's been barely a day since we got married and already he is doing this?” She thought to herself as she sat on her bed in confusion. Loud moans filled the entire room and then spread out to the corridor and other rooms. Neither of them minded the fact that his wife's room was directly opposite his. A little while of about forty-five minutes had gone by and she stood up to go get something from the parlor. As she opened her room door and took a step out, so did Stanley, her husband, and both their eyes collided directly, staring at each other.
