Episode 3

4070 Words
We left at 7pm on Friday the night before my Birthday. My arrival downstairs was greeted by Wolf whistles and in Dean’s case a quick ass grope. Despite it being my 18th birthday I was dressed as the boy’s were very low key. I wore my hipster jeans (that according to Darius I should pull up) a black halter neck top which sat just high enough to reveal my flat stomach, with my black leather jacket slung over the top. In the last month despite my obvious lack of shifts I had developed the metabolism of my fellow wolves. We basically never stopped eating and didn’t put on any weight; we in fact had not an inch of fat on us we were pure lean muscle. Since my first shift I seemed to be constantly hungry and yet my figure was pleasantly slipping down on the fleshy parts, I had always had a good figure but it was becoming damn near perfect while I could eat anything I wanted. The werewolf diet it was almost perfect. Thankfully despite my figure sliming down I remained pleasantly feminine, my hips and my breasts still remained, which was fortunate I think the boys would have been outraged if they’d disappeared. My flatter stomach made my hips seem more pronounced and if I didn’t know better I could have sworn my legs had gotten Longer, as well as becoming as muscled as any persistent runner. It was as if my body was preparing for a shift it knew one day it would have. I had left the majority of my light brown hair hanging loose around my shoulders in their vague semblance of curls, except for those annoying strands that always fell in my face those I’d scooped back, even though I knew they’d still manage to get in the way after a while. “You look nice.” I leapt a clear foot clear of the floor as I felt a familiar breath brush my neck “twitchy aren’t you.” Derek said as though amused by this fact. I smiled but didn’t say anything he obviously didn’t require any response as he closed his eyes for a second. He was stood too close; I wanted to move back as I was sure I could hear the steady thump, thump, thump of his heart. But I knew my boys if I did step back I would never live it down, so I stood still held my ground even though I saw Derek leaning a little closer angling his nose into the junction between my shoulder and neck, and I realised what he was doing: he was smelling me ! I confess my sense of smell had improved immensely since my first shift. I had started to enjoy sniffing shampoo bottles, ice cream tubs and weirdly the sofa! But I hadn’t got the urge to begin smelling people, I knew the boys scents but that was simple as I was around them all the time, but I didn’t feel any desire to go stick my nose into their necks immerging myself in their smells however nice and masculine they were. Derek lifted his head and opened his eyes as though refreshed. I glared at him as a flash of gold sparkled across his eyes and he just smiled that playful boyish smile that I knew so well, and he knew that it was the one thing that I couldn’t help but be endeared by. “Come on you two enough of the foreplay.” Dean called from the doorway, “times a wasting the ladies out there are lonely without me.” I sighed and headed across the hall and out into the Dusk and crunch across the gravel. Without discussion I slid into the front seat, Jamie was driving (and yes we were aware that he didn’t have a licence as he wasn’t old enough but nobody would guess it looking at him and as one of us his reactions were so good we’d never get pulled over). Jamie turned to smile at me as I slipped in next to him, it was a sweet little innocent smile, and he even tried to cover up the way his eyes flickered to my cleavage. “Want to pick out a CD?” he asked as he swung the car into gear. I smiled at him and leaned over to press a quick kiss onto Jamie’s cheek, my smile widening as I saw the deep crimson colour spreading up his cheeks as he looked flabbergasted. “Wow.” Dean said leaning over the seat to roughly tussle Jamie’s hair, “a kiss on the cheek, Score.” I smiled as Jamie if possible flushed even brighter. “Look Jay you two should try and control your hormones and get us to a bar before Derek looses it and jumps over there and starts breaking thumbs.” Carl called from the back. After another brief snicker, the van was put into gear and began crunching down the long gravel driveway. We were in the van a big black heap with two seats in the front and a very comfortable floor in the back for the guys. But also back there was a small silver cage equipped with chains and other full body restraints. which is where I was to be placed if I misbehaved and actually the guys (except for Derek and Jamie of course) had suggested they may like to put me in there even if I didn’t misbehave. I also knew they were all equipped with sedatives and the very subtle crease in Derek’s jeans told me he was carrying a gun and he was taking this very seriously.              Cairn was the nearest town it was completely unremarkable not too large or small you were able get whatever you wanted but without giving you a selection that people would find daunting. There were a few bars and nightclubs, yet we didn’t head into the town. We pulled into Toby’s the same bar as always, it was a small shabby place on the fringes of town with a smell of diesel that hung around it, it was dimly lit by a couple of flickering 30 watt bulbs. Grimy was the word that came to mind when tying to describe it. It was sparsely furnished by a few battered mismatched chairs with the stuffing emerging from amongst the shabby cord covering. But what we were after was the pool table! We were highly competitive by nature in a way that was completely unconnected to being a wolf (I think anyway). As the door swung closed behind us every eye noted our arrival, the sparse clientele numbered about twenty and all forty eyes showed their clear disapproval of us. But every one of my boys is well built and their bulk is clearly pure muscle. They all carried themselves with a confident yet aloof air that clearly expressed that if needs be they knew how to use those muscles. They were perfectly polite at all times when in ‘human society’ (especially with women they were taught to respect and honour women as I said we were treasured). the pack laws prevented them from killing a human anyway well unless they had a good reason, and someone they perceive as behaving in a threatening manner, well push one of my boys just a little too hard and they are Dangerous. Carl smiled at the assembly of what looked like a cliché of bikers surrounding us, in a way that was a little to good natured to be anything but mocking. Some responded with a brave attempt at a glare but most simply turned their backs and returned to their drinks. Derek steered me to a table with a hand on the small of my back as he walked a half step behind me in a very intentional and hence annoying protective gesture. But I knew he was in charge here if I misbehaved he wouldn’t hesitate to throw me over his shoulder and take me directly home and even more annoyingly I knew the boys would help him do that, so I allowed myself to placidly be directed to a table and sat down between Derek and the wall as Carl hurried to the bar. Derek sat far closer than was necessary silently as his eyes swept across the room ceaselessly. His eyes were their usual deep brown but still betrayed him with flickers of gold that darted across his irises as he gave everyman present a look that silently said ‘Touch her and I’ll tear your arms off.’ a few eyes bravely or stupidly bolstered by booze met his gaze for a few seconds before shrugging as though this wasn’t worth their time. “Dare?” Jaime called from beside the pool table where he waited eagerly he gave it an enthusiastic nod. “No.” he snapped loudly “You’re forgetting Jay he sucks at pool.” I called over Jamie and Carl smiled discreetly while Roger and Dean didn’t even bother being discrete and snorted with Laughter. Derek shot me a look of venom. I just placed by hand gently on his shoulder, Derek’s glare eased but I felt the muscles in his arm twitching under my fingers. Dean sighed and leaned across the table, “Dare, ease up mate before you give yourself an ulcer, she cant teleport you know, if you are more than an inch from her Jess aint gonna vanish.” Derek narrowed his eyes at Dean. “I’ll play.” I said not wanting to sit here flailing around in oceans of testosterone I could already feel welling up. I stood up to squeeze past Derek who grabbed my hips a little tighter than was really necessary. “No you wont.” He said sternly. “Ease up you sound like Darius.” I said in a bored voice deliberately stretching slightly taking advantage of a combination of factors being: the way my top rides up, his hormones and his eyelevel. “I’m not sitting right next to you all night and besides the only Danger I’ll be in over there is the danger of humiliating Jamie with a shockingly easy defeat. His fingers curled slightly biting into my hips as he glared again at every man in the bar. I knew too well how to get myself out of this situation; it wasn’t something I liked to do but hell it worked so I’d done it a lot of times before. I slid a slim leg between him and slipped myself forward perching myself on the very edge of his lap, my knee pressed lightly to his groin. Derek closed his eyes biting his lip with the air of a man giving himself a very serious talk about the importance of self restraint. I leaned back slightly so when I whispered his name in a throaty voice and he opened his eyes mine where perfectly in his line of sight. As if reading my intentions he tried to avoid my eyes, I twisted my hips around in tiny figures of eight Derek’s fingers dug into my hip as he growled softly deep in his throat, as if drew back by a magnetic force his deep eyes suddenly locked on mine. I spoke softly in a voice that was deliberately a little throaty (like I said I’d done this a lot and had perfected my technique). “I’ll be fine I promise.” I knew these words were too much but hey it’s my technique and on Derek it works with the others I’d just flash my bra at them and they’d give me whatever I wanted but Derek was different and I knew how to work him. “And you’ll be right here watching me; you know you always watch me.” I felt his fingers loosen slightly right on cue I placed my hands on his and gently oh so gently I eased his hands away sliding them down my thighs. If I pushed too hard he would panic and grab me tight, so I had to be gentle. Dereks hand eased to my gentle encouragement and I felt his thumb caress out across my thighs. I leaned in closer my eyes half closed as I deliberately breathed out through my Mouth allowing my hot breath to wash over his lips. I could feel the quivering in Derek’s entire body, hear his heartbeats quicken and the tiny moans in his throat as I stole his logic. “Derek.” I whispered my lips brushing his as I spoke, his entire posture went rigid he was fighting very hard to control himself his hands became clenched fists resting atop his thighs I could even see the tension in them. “Do you have a fifty pence piece?” His eyes shot up and locked on me Gold with pure anger as he comprehended what I’d said I smiled and tripped out of his reach before he could react. “Your evil girl.” Dean said as I flicked my hair and strode off towards Jamie who was openly gaping at me as if he’d never seen me before. The other guys simply shook their heads consolingly at Derek’s gullibility, as he glowered and took a swig from the bottle of larger Carl placed in front of him. I stole a tentative look at Derek as Jamie broke and caught enough of his glower to know he was fighting very hard between the urges to drink the larger in his hand maturely and the urge to throw the bottle at my head not mature but satisfying. So the last night of my childhood slipped away in this crummy rundown bar where we soon took up our permanent position surrounding the pool table. I wasn’t bad and won more than lost although some of that could be due to distractions I was able to cause thanks to my cleavage and their hormones. Derek of course didn’t play it wasn’t possible as he appeared to had been super glued to my side it was like having a very moody glaring shadow. Although I often skirted away from him he somehow always ended up standing next to me an instant later trying to slip his arm discretely around my waist. Although I was really only doing this for my own amusement really and through habit of course. The bar was steadily filling around us with the same type of clientele – that is heavy set biker types with leather jackets, bad breath, cigars and downing shots, but was still well clear of capacity (which was one of the reasons we chose it). Besides we were perfectly content this way we ignored them and they ignored us. “We’re going to have to leave soon.” Carl said smiling vaguely as I slipped away from Derek and in beside him though he clearly chose not to comment on this observation, I rested my head on his shoulder and absently watched the game between Jaime and Dean which was rather painful to watch, poor Jamie. “Why when do we have to be home?” “Half an hour ago.” Derek said appearing at my side so suddenly I couldn’t stop jumping, my head snapping up from Carl’s shoulder so sharply that I felt something in it snick. He took another sip from the bottle in his hand as his eyes continued to sweep around the room still suspicious of everyone. “Alright well I think we can go in a minute Dean seems to almost be done with humiliating Jamie.” I said trying to subtly rub my neck while eyeing the table which continued all of Jamie’s yellows and one of Dean’s reds (and I knew that was only there as Dean was trying to be nice). “Were are you going?” Derek asked taking a half step towards me as I moved away from Carl’s side. I rolled my eyes, “To a girly room.” I said in a singsong voice, Derek shot a look of pure venom at Carl who was smirking. “I’ll wait outside.” he said plainly. “No you won’t.” I responded just as flatly, “you can see the door from here I don’t think I’ll get lost.” Carl snorted a laugh which earned another glare in response from Derek. I happily used this as my opportunity to duck between them and scamper to the ladies (or hoe’s as the cardboard sign stuck on the door declared it). “Jessica.” Derek snarled, he was obviously mad. But I simply paused for an instant to flash him his favourite smile before ducking into the Ladies.            As I emerged back into the bar I had my nose wrinkled against the smell of the toilets, until I was hit by the smell of the bar which honestly was not much better a charming combination of stale beer, sweat and urine. I was trying hard to block this out so I didn’t notice him in front of me until a hand griped my shoulder and pushed me up against the wall pinning me in place with his body. My immediate response was to cringe back wrinkling my nose against his smell. To our sensitive noses humans smell, well compared to the familiar scents of my family anyway, but he smelt worse under the stench of hot flesh was sweat, exhaust fumes, smog and old tobacco. “May I help you?” I said keeping my head pressed into the wall behind me (trying not to feel the layers of grease my hair was sticking to), straining to keep my expression neutral when the wild and completely pampered treasured wolf inside me wanted to run wild and tear him apart, how dare he? “Oh I think you know how you can help Me.” he whispered leaning closer allowing me to see his tobacco stained yellow teeth. My captor was a heavy set man of I’d guess around forty but we wolves have problems guessing ages in humans (we age very differently) his formerly dark hair was streaked liberally with grey  and tied back in a ponytail. Faded tattoos bulged on his arms and neck. His build I would probably describe as beefy it was beginning to turn to fat but I could tell he still had enough strength there. I tried not to flinch as I felt him press himself closer to me.” You’re too sweet a piece of ass to be hanging with those pretty boys.” As ashamed as I was I couldn’t stop my eyes sweeping the bar behind him looking for Derek who I spotted next to the pool table with the boys who were clearly trying to talk down a disagreement with about ten men. I groaned and rolled my eyes. “Well thank you for the sweet talk but I’m really not interested.”I said politely trying not look as repulsed as I felt. I tried to move out but he slammed me back into the wall. “You misunderstand your simply a piece of cunt to me. I’m not looking for you co-operation, you see when I find one I want I take it.” I could feel him attempt to jostle me but I dug in, I maybe a girl but I’m a shape shifter I was not about to be pushed around by a no name who was clearly beginning to rot, I saw a slight flicker of confusion cross his face, “You’re not taking this one.” I said firmly flicking my head in an idle attempt to fling the hair back from my face, “now let me go and we’ll leave it at that.” “Who’s going to make me do that? Your pretty little boyfriend” I couldn’t help but smile no-body in their right mind would call Derek little in any way, and I don’t really think you’d call him pretty, attractive but defiantly not in a pretty way it was in a dark, seductive sort of way. He seemed to simply make every girl around him melt with his height taller than me by about a head (and I’m fairly tall for a girl anyway), it made his shoulder simply the perfect height for my head to rest on. Both his hair and eyes dark, his eyes were nearly black with golden flecks that flickered across their irises, you could just drown in those eyes, I mentally shook myself out of this idle daydream as now was definitely not the time. “No.” I said “me”. Suddenly both our heads turned as something heavy and wooden hit the wall an inch from us with a deafening crunch that shot large splinters off in all directions. I looked over at Derek a short glance which confirmed he’d just thrown a chair across the bar, subtlety had never been his strong point. Derek’s stance was clearly an attack even if I couldn’t have seen his eyes I knew they would be pure gold. I didn’t need to worry about his change occurring he wouldn’t change accidentally he couldn’t and he cared too much about the pack to change deliberately. My captor smiled as he pushed my shoulder back into the wall clearly not bothered at having a chair thrown at him, even though I knew that Derek could have only missed on purpose. I shot a half glance over my attackers shoulder and I saw Derek standing now far away pure fire burning in his eyes as a gruff biker growled something at him that nobody could hear but it didn’t matter as an instant later his fist crushed into Derek temple. It must have been a hard blow as Derek gave his head a small shake if trying to shake off an irritating fly, before turning to his attacker teeth bared a growl emerging from his throat. His attacker again advanced this time his blow aimed at Derek’s stomach but before this blow could land Derek caught his wrist and twisted it away. I couldn’t stop wincing as I heard the loud crack as his bones broke to the point where they protruded through the skin. The Noises in the bar had grown up like thunder that now consumed all sense leaving just mindless noise. I Turned back to my captor knowing Derek  as well as the other boys were now occupied for a while as wolves fight as a pack its our way. My attacker was laughing mirthlessly so I decided not to bother with anything fancy. I clenched my hands in front of my chest and took a deep breath hesitating for just a second ( we aren’t permitted to attack humans even in human form we have exceptional strength I could crush his skull with my bare hands no problem at all after all he was only human). But after this second the smell of his flesh just overwhelmed me I had to get away from him. I slammed my clenched fist into his chest feeling ribs break beneath my hands, the pressure magically vanished from my shoulder as he bent over forwards chocking. I placed my hands on his shoulders instead and used this strength to keep him up and spun around pushing him into my previous position against the wall before he could recover enough to protest. But once there I decided to adjust my grip to hold him up by his throat leaving my other hand free to absently examine my nails, “So can we play nicely now?” I asked lightly squeezing my hand slightly tighter on his throat, “Whore.” He snarled well attempted to but found it difficult to do while he struggled to even breathe. I sighed and pulled my knee up sharply into his groin. My assailant groaned and crumpled to the floor as I released his throat. The entire bars noise level had risen even further to consume everything around them; it was all too loud for me to pick out anything specific. Through this mindless noise came Derek’s voice pure clarity, “Jamie get her out of here. Take Jessie and go now!”
