Persuading Trisha wasn't easy. We finally got to the pharmacy. Trisha stayed outside the pharmacy while I went in to get it. She was too shy when it came to things like this, so I had to be a friend and get it.
It was a little bit of a hassle before getting it because the place was filled with people. I finally got it but was asked to go to the cashier to pay for it. As I moved closer, someone else was trying to pay before me and I quickly dropped the test strips on the cashier's desk.
"I came here before…" I gasped when I saw the person behind me. I wanted to vanish at that particular point but it was already too late.
"Hi" I said, nervously. I quickly removed the test strip from the desk. "It's not mine" I laughed in a very awkward manner that I felt so ashamed.
"I didn't ask?" He said in a very rude tone. The smile disappeared from my face immediately.
I was glad he didn't remember me at least. Then, I paid and as I was about leaving I received the shock of my life.
"Betty, right?" he asked.
I cringed, I didn't know he recognized me. I turned slowly and smiled. Feeling uncomfortable will be an understatement, I just wanted to leave there.
"Yeah. Michael?" I asked, laughing uncontrollably.
"I'm sorry for what happened earlier, I wasn't really in my right senses" he said.
"Nooooo…. it's really not a problem. You didn't do anything wrong". I answered.
I saw him removing his business card from his wallet, his hands looked so perfect that I wished I was the wallet. I was trembling, he was going to give me his card. I didn't know how to react at this point. Then he handed me the card.
"Call me when you're ready to move out of the shop". He blurted out.
Did I just hear him right? I smiled at him and he nodded his head and left.
"Betty, what's keeping you?" Trisha inquired. I quickly moved.
"Guess what, bestie. I just saw Markle… sorry…Michael" I said.
"Did he say anything to you?" She asked.
"Not really. He just gave me his card and said I should give him a call when I'm ready to move out from the coffee shop " I added. "Come on, let's go home". I concluded.

Tears filled Trisha's eyes as she saw the two, thick, red, parallel lines on the test strip. We've tried to redo the test to see if something was wrong but it still came out positive. She fell on my bed with reckless abandon. I tried to console her but she kept mute. I wanted her to say something but she wasn't ready to speak.
"I'm keeping the baby," Trisha declared.
I quickly hugged her and I was already scared.
"I should be going home now, Betty. It's already 10:00am and Tony is at home". She added.
"Oh s**t! I really need to go to the shop right now". I said hurriedly.
"Call me when you need anything, okay?" I said, I walked her to my door and we both smiled at each other and waved each other goodbye.
Climbing the stairs back, I kept thinking about Catherine and Markle, Tony and Trisha, Michael and the coffee shop.
