Getting home, we met another surprise. When we got down from the taxi, we noticed two people standing at my door. We tried to check if we could recognize them. Then, boom! There they were, the betrayers! They were grinning from ear to ear, as if nothing happened. Trisha tried to talk to me not to do anything but I wasn't even listening. When I got to my doorstep, the only thing that came out from my mouth was, "good morning" and I headed to the door. Trisha gasped because she wasn't expecting that. My cousin rushed towards me and kissed my cheek.
"Oh my goodness, I've missed you cuz". Catherine said excitedly.
I hissed and pushed her out of my way. Markle stood there looking unbothered. I was getting infuriated already, I just wanted to punch him and tell them to go to hell. Before I knew what was happening, tears started running down my face. Trisha noticed and whispered into my left ear.
"Don't show them that you're weak. Pull yourself together" She advised.
"Catherine, I don't want to ever see you close to my friend again. If I see you close to her, I'm going to deal with you " Trisha threatened.
Markle moved forward a little bit and announced with a stern look on his face, "next week is our wedding and we came here to invite you." He declared.
Trisha rushed towards him and slapped him, "how dare you have the guts to show your shitty face here, after the damage you've caused?" I quickly held her tightly, before she'd pounce on him again.
I moved close to him slowly, questioning every step as I moved closer. I clenched my fist tightly and shook my head as I came to a halt before him.
"Get out!" I yelled, making the birds on the tree to shiver.
Catherine laughed, it was as if she was being forced to.
"We only came to invite you. I don't see why you're getting frustrated by our visitation ". She said mockingly.
Trisha wanted to punch her but I held her back.
"Let's go honey. But, I'll drop the invitation card here. Bye cuz" she concluded.
Markle walked behind her like a cow being led to the s*******r house while Catherine shook her buttocks gracefully.
"It's ok, bestie", Trisha said softly and we both entered my apartment as I wiped off the tears from my face, leaving my eyes a little bit soaked with tears.
My room wasn't really messy when we entered, but it wasn't arranged either. I raised the curtains a little bit to allow fresh air in the room. The atmosphere was moody so, I decided to play some music.
"Oh! I forgot to subscribe, give me just two minutes". I said, I picked up my phone and subscribed and in no time, the room was a little bit lively.
I gave Trisha a glass of cold juice and some snacks to go with it.
"Join me." Trisha offered, and I rejected the offer.
"Don't worry, I'm ok" I lied. "Trish, are you sure you're not pregnant?" I asked with my eyes wide open.
Trisha almost choked on her snacks and I quickly passed the juice to her. I watched her sip the juice before continuing with my question.
"I had my period two weeks ago." She said anxiously.
"Hmmm… ok. Explain to me what happened this morning, erm…erm… the vomiting and…" I stuttered.
"I don't think it's because I'm pregnant, or am I? You don't think so, right?" She asked.
I shook my head in disagreement trying to give her some hope. I sighed repeatedly not knowing what to say next. Then, I summoned the courage to ask her about the last time she had s*x with her husband and told me.
"Let's take a pregnancy test, to be sure….you know?" I suggested. Trisha agreed.
"Let's go to the pharmacy" she looked at me as if I was speaking gibberish. "I don't have test strips at home, come on." I concluded.
