Mystery in Crimson University (The Unsettled Maybes)

I thought the Director of Crimson will oppose the Inspector's decision on making me and EU part of the Police Campus, but he didn't. Mr. Crimson look so intimidatingly scary because he was so quiet. But maybe he was just an observant type of person.

"I will let them be part of the Campus Police, Inspector. But promise me no one will get hurt and you will soon solve this continuous suicide incident," he said calmly. His office was huge and classy like what we expected. You can see that every piece of furniture was expensive and elegant.

"I will, Sir!" inspector Rowan said with full of confidence.

It was a smooth meeting and inspector Rowan was the one who explains everything to the Director. Right now what I can think of is that we are officially part of the campus police and part of the investigation about the mysterious suicide incidents here at Crimson University. Whoever forces the students to commit suicide or kill them I will make sure that he or she will pay for all his crimes!

After the meeting with the Director, we proceed to the campus police's office. It is only as big as the dorm rooms and there is only 5 officer in total and EU and I was the only students to become campus police.

"Are you sure about this, Inspector Rowan?" officer Montalban ask. He was cleaning his desk and Inspector Rowan stops in front of him so we also stop. All the 5 officers were all looking at me and EU like they are also cannot believe what Inspector Rowan was planning to do on making me and EU part of the team. I know it was a dangerous job and that we don't have much experience in doing this but I must say that I'm good at solving cases and I'm sure I can solve this one as well.

"I am!" Inspector answer officer Montalban.

"What was good about them that you let these kids be part of the campus police?" a tall, look older than Inspector Rowan ask him while walking towards us.

"Inspector Thomas, I thought you leave the country?" Inspector Rowan was also shocked on seeing the guy appeared from a room.

"I got the report about the incidents that happening here in Crimson and I got curious so I check it out before deciding if I will leave the Philippines."

"Guys, meet Inspector Thomas. He is the First student campus police here in Crimson." Inspector Rowan introduces him to us. I only nod at him. So there is someone who also becomes a student campus police.

"This is Eulliyer Peters and Winter Guzman, the new student campus police." Inspector Thomas ignores inspector Rowan's introduction to me and EU.

"What happened here?" he asks the inspector instead.

"We can talk to my office." Inspector Rowan responded then he turns to me and EU. "You can stay here for a moment, I'll just talk to inspector Thomas," he said before leaving me and EU.

We waited for Inspector Rowan for almost 30 minutes and because I got bored I walk close to officer Montalban. I hate sitting on the corner and doing nothing while I'm aware that we have a case that we need to solve. "Can I see some information about the first victim?" I ask the officer that was busy cleaning his desk. He looks at me with confusion and then ignores me and looks down to his desk again. In my estimate, he didn't look that old. Maybe a new graduate and immediately become a police officer.

I was about to leave but I saw something on his desk that made me scared... scared of him.

Inspector Rowan

The kids were showing a lot of potential in becoming a great detective especially Winter Guzman. I can see her potential and ability, she was good at deduction and stitching evidence like she was actually on the crime and that she witnessed the scenario.

When I open the door of my office, I saw a woman that sitting on my swivel chair. A smile formed on her lips and her cat eyes also smile. She was wearing her usual uniform and I don't know how she enters my office without noticed by my men outside. I'm sure they will inform me when someone will enter my office.

"Long time no see?" she greet us.

"What the hell is she doing her?" and just like before, Inspector Thomas was irritated by seeing her. Why not though? She is the only person that can defeat him in everything that he was good at.

"Are you sure Rowan? You will let those kids in this dangerous case?" she ignore Inspector Thomas.

"We are still not sure if this case is really dangerous or just because the students lost their reasons to stay alive and fight the unfair world we are living in right now," I explain to her. We still can't find a shred of solid evidence that will tell that this mystery was made by a psychopath that killing students and made it look like a suicide.

"And they are good, they have potentials!" I added.

"What if a serial killer is wandering on the campus? And you were putting those kids' lives in danger! Can you take responsibility?" I was aware of what will happen to those kids if this case was this dangerous, but I need to use all means just to solve this case as soon as possible. I can't let more students die.

"I will!" I simple answer.

"You know you can lose your job if that will happen, right Rowan?" Inspector Thomas warned me. I nod at him.

"Let me tell you this Rowan, If this is a serial murder case and not a suicide case..." she pauses and stands leaving my chair spin and walk close to me.

"One of the students here in Crimson may be the culprit!" she said in a deep and creepy voice she always uses every time she tries to scare me. I'm not a child anymore that I don't need some protection from my older siblings. This is the reason why I hate working with them, they always treat me as a kid that they have to protect like they always do.
