In Gerald’s best thoughts it was too much of a shock to see Andrea here, in New York City. What was so important that could have made her break her no so strong a vow which was to leave the beloved capital city, Washington DC in search of him. That was the only explanation as she was standing in front of him with a clenched bag by her side and a tiny suitcase a few feets from her. The terror on how he left the city and how he didn’t look back for her after the discovery of Martha and Rachel still hunted him each day.
