Gerald wiped his face and hair after the physiotherapy session with a long blue towel that was hung on one if the equipments. The physiotherapist helped him to fix the sling back on his arm. While it was being fixed, he remembered the look on Andrea’s face a while ago when he was doing physiotherapy exercises. She looked completely engrossed in his body and it was completely obvious or so he said to himself. He should really wear less clothing if he was to achieve his aim of seducing his home care nurse. Gerald had began to feel a bit of care and compassion towards Andrea which wasn’t previously there. One thing that was similar about the both of them was the fear of losing your career. But the fact still remained that he couldn’t lose her, he couldn’t give her up. There hasn’t been anyone who had made Gerald feel this way before, this was the first time he had done something shady just to get a girl in the same room with him. He was well aware that he could get any girl he wanted but his heart had already picked this one right from the very first day he met her at the bar. For the past couple of weeks this Andrea he met was nothing like the one at the bar. This Andrea one was cranky, rude and uptight as compared the the other one with an uncommon free spirit and the best laugh he had ever heard. Gerald still held on to the hope that underneath this hard exterior lies the girl that captured his heart in just one day. “I would be leaving soon, dinner in the microwave and your packed drugs on the kitchen counter. Take your drugs as soon as you are done eating” Andrea said to Gerald lowering her gaze as she spoke. “You are well aware this is a live in position right? Gerald said “So you are expected to live here. Your room has been prepared and any adjustments that you might need would be done accordingly”. Gerald added. “I was told I could take a few days to settle in” Andrea said “I would move in next week” Andrea added. “Not good enough”Gerald said. “You have till Wednesday to get your things ready” Gerald said. The next day started out well as Andrea packed a few boxes and had began to label them. The contract drawn between her, the hospital and the soccer club was too indefinite. It had a lot of loop holes and clauses that could get them out of any law suit if the case arises. How did the hospital management agree to sign such with the soccer club? They were obviously blinded by the donations the club was giving to the hospital and giving out one nurse to care for their captain was nothing that couldn’t be done for them. By her calculations, she would not exceed two months nursing Gerald as she was sure that with the rate at which he was healing she needed less than that to help him get back on his feet again. The all encompassing nature of nursing sometimes makes Andrea wonder where she was to draw the line sometimes. According to Virginia Henderson, the act of nursing is assisting an individual sick or well in the performance of those activities contributing to their health or recovery that he would perform unaided if he had the necessary strength, will or knowledge. The broadness of the definition means that she has to perform whatever is asked of her with the disguise of a nursing function. This was not clearly what she signed up for she thought to herself as she closed her last box of items that was going to be shipped to Gerald’s flat. Andrea was sure that this month was definitely going to change her life but she wasn’t just clear about how much of it just yet. The change could clearly either be good or bad but it coming for her forcefully, was she ready? “You are late today” Gerald said as soon as she walked through the elevator and into his apartment. “What happened to your “I always go early to work” principle. “Good morning” Andrea said as she walked into the kitchen counter placing her bag on the marble ignoring what Gerald had said. Gerald’s eyes were clearly focused on her as she opened the fridge to begin breakfast and start Gerald’s day. Why was he hovering around her? Did she owe him an explanation for resuming late? s**t yes , he was her employer. “I had to pack a few boxes ready to move in here by tomorrow” Andrea said. “That’s a valid reason” Gerald said “Where are you originally from?” Gerald asked “Athens” Andrea responded. “In Greece” Andrea added. “What does Andrea mean?” Gerald asked “Strong and brave” Andrea replied as she was slicing through the fruits on the counter. The was a lot of juice from the melon that rolled on the table that forced Andrea to drop the fruit and get a rag to dampen the juice from the fruit on the table. “I could make you that wet you know” Gerald said as he licked his lips. “You could wait in the living room I will get you breakfast in a minute” Andrea said cleaning up the table and Ignoring what he had just said. And also ignoring the fact that those words made her heart beat faster. She was caught off guard when Gerald grabbed her by her left wrist and pull her closer to him. Her breath was hitting his skin and her breast was in direct contact with his rock solid chest . Her body felt so soft on him, he wanted to hold her like this for a least a day. Their both had an increase in breathing pattern as it was clear from the hot breaths that hit their face due to the close contact between them. There was a few seconds pause as they took the time to look into each other’s eyes but Gerald broke the silence and spoke up. “I would get you Andrea, I swear I would and you would beg me to stop when I lick every inch of your body” Gerald said with his raised breaths and low sexy tune of voice. Andrea broke contact with him and as she did, she left the room to catch her breath “What just happened” she said to herself. The lavender smell that graced her nostrils was the one of the best scents she had perceived in a long time. She wasn’t a person who paid attention to scents so her house had no peculiar scent, but this fragrance was deep and showed so much possession of the environment. Being graced with the scent was the best way for her to start the day. Andrea had moved into Gerald’s apartment earlier that evening when the moving company she hired to back those boxes came by. She had previously thought that she would not need the services of any moving company as she was only going to need what she would use for a month. With time all the things she could not do without kept crippling out and soon she saw herself with a lot of boxes and she needed their services before her cheap skate attitude would bring ruin to her precious things. Today was her first night at Gerald’s apartment and it was going quite well, that was clearly because She had gone into her room and locked herself up as soon as she had served him dinner and clipped back his sling after he had showered. Andrea had nothing else to do for him and with the hope of avoiding temptation she locked herself in her room with the hopes of sleeping early. A call came through which had disrupted her early to bed plan. It was her cousin Anastasia and it had been a couple of days they had spoken so she was excited to hear from her. She was her closest cousin and more like a sister to her. “Hey big sis” Andrea said in a really cheerful tune “Andy, how are you doing?” Anastasia asked. “I am doing fine Anna. How is my favorite niece and nephew?” Andrea asked. “I am ready to sell them both” Anastasia said. “Too bad I don’t work with social services, I would have gotten you arrested this very moment for that” Andrea said “If I would get two hours of decent sleep while in their custody then I clearly don’t mind Andrea” Anastasia said Andrea had a long laugh at what her cousin had said, she was quite away of how notorious her nice and nephew could be and yet she was their favorite aunt as she knew the way to her heart was cookies. “What did my favorite twin do this time?” Andrea asked. “I still wonder who taught 5 year olds the daring game as I haven’t had any rest from them daring each other. Yesterday Stacy dared Aaron to but on make up to school. I was in a hurry to take them to school and I didn’t look at Aaron’s face properly. You needed to see the shock on my face when I pulled up at the school’s drop off to see my baby boy’s face decorated with a bronzer and lipstick on his eye lids as apparently Stacy had told him that’s where they go” Anastasia narrated. “That’s my girl “ Andrea said laughing loudly at the situation. “My daughter is evil, it’s settled” Anna said “I know we are not allowed to pick favorites but Stacy is my favorite” Andrea said still laughing at the incident. “Why wouldn’t she be. She is insanely smart and wild just like you” Anastasia said. “I can’t really say that about myself for now” Andrea said. The tune that Andrea had use to say that made Anastasia’s heart to worry, she knew her cousin as the brave and smart lady who achieved anything she had put her mind to and hearing her say that was alarming and worrisome and the same time. “What’s wrong Andy? Is it the new job? Anastasia asked. “Yes it is, I am just so confused, I feel like I should have spoken up to the management as soon as he arrived at the hospital and I was asked to care for him they would have reconsidered I guess” Andrea said “Are you sure they would. I haven’t seen you this worked up over a guy since your last husband” Anastasia said. “It not about being just worked up over him. He is still continuing to flirt with me and if I am being honest I love how it makes me feel but I have too much at stake, it is unethical, it is wrong, I could lose my license” Andrea said as she rambled on many reasons why she was in deep s**t. “Let’s take one step at a time, you need to keep yourself together and do the job you were hired to do. That’s the best I could tell you. I know how much you worked for the degree Don’t throw it all away for some hot ass” Anastasia said. “This is sure more than a hot ass” Andrea replied. “The actual reason I called is that your final divorce papers just arrived at my house, would you come pick it up or should I mail it to you?” Anastasia asked. Andrea hadn’t thought about her divorce in a long time. She felt no pain anymore but just regrets. She was puzzled as to why she wasn’t ever sad or crying after they had decided to separate but it was already clear that they were not compatible anymore and none of them were happy in the marriage. Being a divorcée at 25 was definitely not Andrea’s plan but that is what happens when you marry your college boyfriend while in college against all advice. That was Andrea’s first lesson, “love would mess you up” after that relationship she stayed away and now some guys thinks he could stumble into her life and tear down her walls. “I would come pick it up” Andrea said and the call had ended taking Andrea back to her restless phase. Her listening to the wall clock tick with a combination of the lavender scent had sent her mind into a trans and was brought back by a peep on her phone. She stretched her hand to get it from the night stand and almost fell out the cozy bed in the process but caught herself quickly. “Got your passport?” That was what the text read from Gerald. “Why?” She texted back. “We are going to Allegiant stadium” he said “Las Vegas” “We leave in an hour” “What?” Andrea exclaimed.
