Sitting on the edge of a bed in a medical gown at the infirmary within the underground Knight headquarters facility below SecureTech, Ari cringed as Adrian barked orders at the medical staff to perform ‘any and all’ tests to make sure the curse wasn’t harming her in ways they couldn’t outwardly see. At first, she was simply set up for a standard well-examination; but, that was until they were both in the bathroom with her throwing up more of the grotesque black scourge. Ari tried to tell him that since the color was now light grey rather than pitch black that the curse was nearly out of her system, but that didn’t change his mind.
