Derrick needed someone to bounce off ideas with and with his latest discussion with Heather he knew for sure she would not agree. She had shot down the idea and after making enough demands from his end for her to meet, so as he would not go after her " boyfriend'' in court, who she had vehemently denied being involved with, he did not push it. He was surprised she had not put two and two together. He remembered Ben as clearly as yesterday. He had been a tall lanky senior but had been among those who had always admired Heather from afar, just like a lot of people had.
