Chapter 32 : Ashes
Derrick had been thinking of where he would take Heather for their first date, the first Friday only a day away. A candle-lit dinner felt too romantic for their current status. An amusement park date would be so engaging that they would not have time to converse, and so he settled on an outdoor picnic, which was similar to the first date they both had in high school. At that time, Heather had been the one who had asked him out, prepared everything and had been wooing him. How tables turn, he thought as he started looking for good picnic spots for them. Things seemed a little bit harder than he had expected.
