At exactly three o’clock there was a firm knock on the door of Genevieve’s suite. She stood up from her chair, smoothed the front of her blouse, and walked across the room. Her heart beat faster, but she forced her face to stay calm. She opened the door. Sebastian Voss stood in the hallway holding a dark leather folder filled with neat papers. He wore a simple dark suit and looked ready for serious business, not for anything soft or friendly. “Thank you for seeing me,” he said in a quiet, steady voice.
