Genevieve called Sebastian the next morning. Her voice was calm and clear when she spoke into the phone. “I have gone through every page of the contract,” she said. “Come back to the suite. Bring your lawyer if you want. I have conditions of my own.” Sebastian arrived two hours later with the same dark folder and a quiet older man who carried a notebook and a pen. Genevieve opened the door and led them straight to the table she had already prepared. The two chairs faced each other with equal space.
