Genevieve sat on the edge of the bed the next morning and stared at Sebastian’s business card for a long time. The silver letters still looked sharp under the soft light. She picked it up once, turned it over in her fingers, then set it back down on the table. “No,” she said out loud to the empty room. “Not yet.” She refused to make the same mistake twice.
