Sebastian sat at the long table in his private meeting room with three of his lawyers. Thick stacks of papers covered most of the polished surface. The afternoon light came through the tall windows in slow, quiet lines across the floor. For several minutes no one spoke. The only sounds were the soft turning of pages and the quiet scratch of pens making notes.
Finally the oldest lawyer looked up from a thick set of documents. “We found serious mistakes,” he said. “Nicholas Blackwood’s legal team was careless in more than one place.”
