What She Knows

1544 Words

The formal status review takes four days. Council procedures are exact about this kind of thing: documented findings, independent verification, an opportunity for the subject to present counter-evidence. Lydia does present — through legal representation, her family's attorney, a human-law specialist who knows exactly which pack-adjacent regulations apply and which don't. It doesn't change the outcome. The evidence is what it is. I don't attend the review sessions. Not because I'm excluded — technically my operational appointment gives me a seat at most formal proceedings. I stay away because Lydia spending four days defending herself against evidence I helped build doesn't require my presence to become fact. The record doesn't need me in the room to continue existing. Damon attends.
