Chapter 2On the west side of Boston, the atmosphere was equally gloomy, although for a very different reason. The police, in cooperation with the Bureau of Investigation, had already planned raids on illegal moonshiners before Christmas: now all that was needed was to realise those plans. Everything, of course, in line with the Eighteenth Amendment and the Volstead Resolution, of course.
