"Master! There is a human intruder. Should I eliminate her?" "Wait, don't kill her yet. Show me the footage." There are several hundreds of humans matching towards the shelter. Alessandro had no idea how he got there. He would first try to contact them, then he would decide if he should let them in or not. They could be an organization like Burnhill. "Ophelia, run the face reorganization system. Start with the first row. It's more likely that their leader is in the front." "I've ran them, Alessandro. There are no result." So they are ghosts? With no traces? That's not possible. "Run them again." "I have run them 346 times and no results."  He silently curse himself. "Then turn on the speaker for outside transmission." "HELLO? Who are you people?" "Well, well, if it isn't Alessandro? Let me ask you, are you well?" "Uhh, sorry, lady. Do I know you?" "No you don't. And your advance AI don't know me either. I have been silently keeping surveillance on you for 10 years. Since your boom in economy." "You mean, spying on me. Since you already know my name, won't you agree that I am at a bit of an disadvantage, won't you agree?" "Normally, I would but now, I wouldn't. You see, I know that you know this would happen. That's why you are hiding in that hole, aren't you?" "I know that this would happen and this is why I built the safest place possible on Earth." "LOL." "Did you just say....LOL?" "Yeah, I did. What's the point?" "Nevermind. Tell me why you are here and I may just let you in." He had to be careful. For someone to have recruit hundreds of people is very hard. He knew how hard it is. "Oh nothing. I was just seeing if this place is a threat or not." "Oh, you want to see if this is a threat? Should I put a bullet through your head?" "Don't make empty threats, boy." She was getting on his nerves. "Ophelia, shoot her legs." The turrets fired. Nothing happened to her. It's like she dodged the bullets. "HAHA. You though, you can hit me with a bullet? You are wrong in that case. There are so many things you humans don't know about the world. It's like...you're blind. There are unnatural things happening around you and still, you don't notice. But you are an exception. You are observant so I will let you in on a secret. We are not human, boy. I am what you would call a...vampire. If you don't believe me, think back. You have already had a ran in with my kind." "The Burnhill." "Exactly. Now let me in. Before you ask, I don't burn in daylight but I get tired more quickly. Open up, will you?" He had no reasons to not believe her. After all, he already know one supernatural race. The minotaurs. He ordered Ophelia to open the gates. "You can come in but your army will stay outside until we have talked." She nodded and signaled her army to stand back. She walked into the bunker calmly. He knows that to be that calm, she have fought in many battles, just like him. She walked into his room. "Meeting me in the bedroom? Aren't you a little ambitious?" "What? I don't have an office in here yet. Now tell me what's your name?" "Since you want to know, I am Mira." "No last names?" "No. I am not from your time boy. I am ancient. More ancient than Egypt and Greek." "OK? So what are you here for?" "Well, I am here to help you kill those stupid things. I have been fighting them for centuries and they are hard to kill. Especially the empress. She can use magic." "So that's how she killed me? With magic last time?" "Yes and I know that you are from the future. I sensed disturbance in time 10 years ago so I figured that you were thrown back to the past. I don't know how you did it, since you can't use magic. It must have been something you were wearing. An accessory or something." He thought back. He was wearing only his clothes...and his wedding ring. Sara must have bought it somewhere. "A ring. Given to me by my past wife." "Can she use magic?" "I don't think so. As far as I know, I think she bought it somewhere." "Well, let's ask her." "Wait, she don't remember anything." "Don't worry about that. Call her. I can make her remember." "Ok then. Ophelia call her now. Tell her it's important" After a minute, Sara arrived. "Alessandro? Who is this woman?" "Oh, I am no one." He noticed that she raised her wrist. He could feel magic around her. It was different. "Interesting, you can sense it? It's probably because you used time magic before." Sara yelled and clutched her head. Her eyes were moving at incredible speed. "What did you do to her? Fix her." "I am fixing her. I am giving her back her memories before you used your time magic." Sara suddenly stood up. "You are right. I remember everything now. And I remember...my death." "I am sorry about that. I couldn't stop her." "Stop, darling. It's not your fault. Don't beat yourself up." "As much as I am happy for your reunion, I have a question." "Mira? I remember you." "Wait, you know me from your past life?" "Yes, I do. You sold me my wedding ring." Alessandro and Mira looked at one another. That means that Mira saved him. "Why can't you make yourself remember?" "What?" "I mean, you can make her remember. Why don't you remember?" "Blood magic can not be used to remember things. I used necromancy on her to make her remember. I didn't die last time so I can't use necromancy on myself." "Isn't necromancy forbidden or something?" "It was. 2 billions years ago. After you humans descend into stone age, you forgot all about magic. And later, when some started rediscovering magic, you humans burned them."
