As much as I don’t enjoy being in the palace, I don’t dread it as much as I once did. When I was queen, it’s where we hid. We kept our secrets locked away here so that no one could see. We only hosted one alpha conference, and even then, it was only because it was needed.
I suppose it’s still used to hide the family’s secrets, but it doesn’t feel the same. The secrets are their magic, and it’s not a permanent hiding. Seth and Molly are giving the kids time to figure out their powers and how to control them. They’re not ashamed of them, but keeping the pressures of the outside world off them for now.
