I contemplated throwing Andrew out a window at breakfast. He shouldn’t have put it into Ada’s mind that there’s already something to stop the girls’ heat cycles. She’s been up my ass for years wanting to talk to her father and uncle for whatever reason. She wanted to ask about the tonics they brewed. She wanted to ask them why they had done what they had done to her. She’s had a million different reasons.
Usually, I agree to work it out for the next time we’re at the palace. Then we arrive, and she chickens out, as I always assume she will.
