“Your son has been looking for you,” I tell Seth as he sits down at the kitchen table.
“I know,” he chuckles. “He’s been driving Laylah nuts.”
“What were you two doing today?”
He shrugs, but he has a look on his face. He’s happy. He’s excited. He’s not going to tell me. “That’s a secret, Love. Sorry.”
“Seth.”
He smiles. “We made a deal. We agreed to treat Laylah like our own pup. If one of our kids asked for what she did, I’d keep it quiet for them. I suspect she’ll let you know later, though.”
