I’m surprised when I walk into the main dining room to find Oliver in charge of the kids.
“I wasn’t expecting you this morning,” he says, glancing down at my feet. “You good?”
“Yeah. All good. Where’s Mom and Dad?”
“Your Mom is with Cora now. Your Dad should be up in a bit, but he was awake all night. Take it easy on him,” he says.
I frown. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means to take it easy. The younger kids have a lot of questions. Help him out, alright?”
