Deacon's POV
This was the first time he was willingly admitting what he was to a human. Shifting in, he turned, taking her hands into hers, gently squeezing them, his eyes slowly searching hers. This was it, she was either going to accept him or run. He couldn't blame her if she ran, he had been lying to her. This wasn't some small secret, no, this was world-shattering. He was about to shatter everything she thought she knew about this world.
"Mina I'm," He tipped his head back, looking up at his ceiling. "I'm not what you think," Sighing, his gaze dropped back to hers. "I'm not human, I haven't been for a very long time,"
"Okay," Mina stretched out the word, her eyebrows pinching together in confusion.
"I'm a vampire," Closing his eyes, he braced himself for her reaction.
