Mina's POV
Since her nightmare Mina found it challenging to sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, his honey-colored eyes and unhinged laugh haunted her. The only time she seemed to get a wink of sleep was when she was wrapped in Deacon's embrace. Something about him calmed her and allowed her to sleep without seeing that monster's face.
"Did you sleep last night?" Deacon frowned, his hand gently brushing some hair from her face.
"A little," Mina lied, not wanting to worry him more than he already was, and by the look on his face he didn't seem to be convinced by her lie.
"Maybe you just need some air. Get out of the house for a little bit, maybe have some fun?"
"What do you have in mind?" At this point she was willing to try anything if it meant not thinking about her horrid drea
