Sebastian’s POV Lying here, staring at the ceiling of this all-too-familiar room, I cannot believe I'm stuck in this bed for an entire month. Every moment I spend immobile is a vivid reminder of the misjudgment that led to me getting shot. The more I think about it, the angrier I get with myself. With years of experience under my belt, I know the necessity of always being prepared for the unexpected, especially given the precarious nature of my work. The incident keeps replaying in my mind, a warning bell reminding me of the crucial discussion I need to have with Mich and soon rather than later. "Shelly, babe," I say, attempting to infuse warmth into my voice, "why don't you and Sabrina go out and enjoy the pool? I'll be fine, I promise. You're in dire need of some sunlight, baby girl.
