As they approached the woman, Ava felt a sense of unease wash over her. There was something about the woman that seemed...off.
But as they drew closer, Ava saw that the woman was smiling, her eyes shining with warmth.
"Welcome, young ones," the woman said, her voice low and husky. "I have been waiting for you."
Kael's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed intently on the woman. "Who are you?" he asked.
