"All clear, Alpha. We haven't spotted anything suspicious outside the borders."
Gideon nodded at the report of one of his scouts before gesturing with his hand. "Good. You can now leave," he said nonchalantly.
The scout bowed his head before disappearing from his sight by using the balcony window to leave.
He was left alone with a pile of paperwork on his desk, all of it already reviewed and signed. As he continued reading the document in his hands, Gideon remembered his conversation with Henrietta.
He could say that what happened there didn't end quite well. The brutal revelation caused Henrietta to return to her room, furious. Even his wolf was disappointed at his response.
