For three months we ran our new empire from the top of our new hotel, names "K's". Kit'lin had laughed when I told her the name, thinking I was joking at first. I had asked her if she wanted to go back to being called Melissa, which was her birth name. She sighed and told me that Melissa had died as a little girl and that she was born in her wake.
