MERIDA'S POV
"Thank you for accepting me back." Cecilia muttered after the guards had loosened her from the chains, hugging me emotionally. Tears kept streaming down her face endlessly and each time she sobbed, I felt sad for her; we had really been through a lot together and I just hoped she wasn't trying to play one of her games with me. After a long while of crying and thanking me, we made our way into the palace courtyard but she refused to get in until I accepted one of her other requests. "Take the slaves to their various packs and I would also like to see my mom, it's been long since I saw her last." She pleaded with me and immediately, I saw reasons with and understood her plight.
