"Jude, why are you acting like a little kid? I never planned to set anyone up, I only brought those men to scare Cecilia and bring back Merida, as you can see, she is here with us with no single harm on her skin." His voice quivered with full authority and conviction.
I was still not convinced enough by what he just said. If indeed he never wanted to scare me out, sending the men to harass me wouldn't have been necessary.
All the same, he could go to hell for all I cared, as long as the box and Merida were both with me now, I had nothing else to pester him about.
