We all ate joyously and laughed over silly things. The ding from my phone was the cause of my laughter dying down as searched my bag for my phone to read the message. It was from an uncommon number and my first thought was it was my aunt since she has been contacting me with different numbers.
Eager to see what she had to say this time around, I opened the message but I was, however, shocked.
Chills ran down my spine as I looked at a picture of all four of us from earlier. Tracey hugging her dad smiling, Geneva looking uncomfortable and panicky, and then me, looking at Tracey and Jamie with literal heart eyes. The message beneath the picture says "we are watching", all in capital letters, making me all the more terrified.
This was clear as water that this message was from my aunt, why?
