I barely slept that night. Every time I closed my eyes, the same picture flashed in my mind. Adrian and Daniel sitting close together. Daniel resting his head on Adrian’s shoulder.
My stomach twisted each time I saw it.
I kept telling myself it might mean nothing.
But something deep in my chest refused to believe that.
When morning came, I felt heavy. My head. My body. My heart.
