Sarah's POV The bedroom door burst open. Adrian stood there, disheveled from travel, suit jacket crumpled, tie askew, dark eyes wild with fury. The golden light from the window caught the stubble on his jaw and the tension etching deep lines across his forehead. He crossed the room in strides, towering over me as I rose unsteadily to my feet. "What the hell have you done, Sarah?" His voice boomed, filling the space between us like thunder. "Mother? You attacked my mother? The doctor said it was a deep gash, blood loss, and concussion risk.
