Chapter 11
Lennon spent the rest of the morning trying to calm down. He’d been friends with Kaden—with Townsend—for a long time. Of course, he’d been friends with his director of security, a man he trusted and whose background he knew inside and out. This new Kaden was someone different, and Lennon didn’t like him at all.
Rada didn’t take long to show up in Lennon’s office. “So, that was exciting. Since when are you a caveman?”
Lennon wanted to get mad. He wanted to lash out and shout, even scream. He couldn’t do that, not to Rada. “It’s not about that,” he said instead.
She pressed her lips into a thin, disapproving line.
“It’s not entirely about that. Look, I’m just—I’m pissed. Yeah, some of it has to do with Ben. A lot of it has to do with control.” He looked up at her.
