Chapter 18
Ben knew that Lennon wasn’t about to keep quiet. He knew Lennon was angry, and he knew Lennon wasn’t at all on board with the whole “wait and see” plan Ben had advised. Ben could understand that, honestly. The Agency hadn’t done much to protect Lennon so far, so the guy had very little reason to be patient about gathering resources from them.
That was unfortunate, because Ben hadn’t been kidding when he told Lennon that he needed the Agency’s resources. He couldn’t go without them. He needed their intel. He needed their cash, although there were ways around that. Having a multimillionaire to fund him went a long way toward neutralizing that particular concern, but there were others.
