Lennon fumed as he sat at his table. Sure, he understood free speech. Plenty of people had objections to abortion, and to the use of fetal tissue for anything at all. He didn’t share their views, but they had a right to their opinions and the right to express their opinions. They didn’t have the right to endanger his employees as they expressed their opinions, not by preventing folks from getting to their jobs and not by preventing them from leaving the building.
The fact that they were protesting in such a way based on inaccurate information—lies—infuriated him. He decided he didn’t want to know if it angered him more than the way it endangered the employees in the first place. Some people just weren’t meant to know these things about themselves.
