Just like Anabel and Donald became more careful and close after the first breakup, they are doing the same again after the recent one. And also because Zoey now knows more and is involved in the issue, Anabel has been extra vigilant at the office. She longer gives her any reason to suspect or insinuate otherwise.
When Reed could not get Anabel to continue therapy, he tried to get Zoey to convince her but she was unsuccessful as Anabel insisted she no longer needed one.
