"Dad, why is mom not home yet?" Ethan asked again as he filled his mouth with popcorn. He has been asking his father since afternoon when it was past his mom's expected time of arrival and she was yet to be back. Terry had been distracting him with other things while he tried to reach Anabel but he couldn't. Terry was not bothered at first as he thought Anabel was on her way home already but after two hours and she wasn't still around, he got worried and started trying her line severally but his calls kept forwarding to Anabel's mailbox.
"Didn't I tell you she would be a little late tonight?" Terry replied, covering for Anabel. Although, Terry has not been able to reach Anabel still, he was able to reach Zoey. He didn't ask her why his wife was not home yet, he only asked if she was okay
