I gazed at the handsome face before me, magnified several times, unsure of how to respond.. His piercing green eyes seemed to search my soul, making me feel both nervous and intrigued at the same time. I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking as he stared back at me with such intensity.
"Mr Lightfoot, we... made an agreement. You may have my body for as long and as much as you desire. My secrets, on the other hand, are entirely mine."
The warm breath tickled my ear, eliciting a chuckle from me.
"What an irony, if I remember correctly, five years ago. You rejected me. What changed?
Did my looks improve?"
He chuckled, his grip loosening slightly as he spoke. "I've always known you were mine. It just took you a little longer to realise it."
