Bursting out of the house into the rain, I realized that the atmosphere had become darker. Another electrifying lightning zipped across the dark clouds, causing a scream to escape my lips.
“C’mon!” Alpha Kilhan yelled in excitement as if he was inured to the loud, crashing thunder.
The rain beat my skin so hard, I could hardly move. With my eyes squinted, I watched Alpha Kilhan spread out his arms and swirl.
“Join me!” He called out again, stretching his hands towards me. With a grin, I nodded, finally letting go. I ran towards him at full speed, and he hastily lowered himself, ready to receive me.
I jumped into his arms and he lifted me from the ground, swirling me in the air.
