I awoke to the gentle embrace of dawn, the first rays of sunlight weaving through the curtains of the room. As I sat up, a furrowed brow revealed the thoughts that occupied my mind.
I was mindful of the slumbering world around me, I glanced at Mandy beside me, her form peaceful in the morning light.
A momentary tenderness softened my features as I leaned down and gently pressed a kiss to her forehead. I whispered, "Hope you slept well.”
