KADE The car hummed softly beneath me, gliding over the winding roads toward the Silver Moon Pack. My head rested against the cool glass of the window as the passing scenery blurred into a tapestry of green and gray. I wasn’t paying attention to the view, though. My focus was on the iPad in my hand, the image displayed on its screen capturing all of my attention. Her face stared back at me, frozen in time. Dark, wary eyes framed by unkempt strands of hair.
