Part six 6.1Despite the danger, the rules that had applied so far remained unchanged: everyone who passed the exam could go for a few days of holiday in any given place in the world. No one decided to stay in the monastery; the threat of assassins turned out to be less important than the need to rest and meet loved ones. Ted was not afraid at all - he was of the opinion that the archbishop must go to even greater lengths to make sure that nothing happened to him. Although he still did not understand what the extraordinariness of his talent was about, he was perfectly aware of the fact that the Vatican would never accept losing it and would do everything possible to protect it.
