Part two 2.1It had practically become a tradition that Ted Thompson spent his Saturday evenings gloomily examining his conscience. Veronica and the kids were sleeping in their bedrooms upstairs, even the faithful terrier Rambo was snoozing on the rug. Ted stayed in the living room, stretched out on the couch in front of the TV set and with each beer he drank it was becoming more obvious that he was on the right track to waste his life completely. Yet another day had passed. Time flies faster and faster, bringing him closer to old age and distancing him, irrevocably, from the times when he was not afraid to dream and looked forward to what the future held.
