Chapter 5: Big Announcement

Azelia's POV:
"What are you doing?" A sudden voice startled me and I slowly turn my head and saw.
"Kim!!"
"Where did you go? I thought you left already so I got home by myself." I explained what happened as we walked through our house.
"I-I'm sorry I made you worried.. I sat under a cherry tree and waited for you, I didn't notice the time and it was already 5pm"
Sigh*
"I'm sorry about what I said at the canteen.. I didn't mean it, you can have other friends.. it just that I don't trust humans just yet from what they did to mom and dad." She explained and I understand her point it's hard to trust humans because of what they did to us years ago but then again, trusting humans is part of surviving in this human continent.
This is the only place where we can live peacefully away from them. Away from the 'Elites'
Apartments.
"Ah before I forgot, there will be an announcement to all students including mage scholars" I said while wiping and washing the dishes.
"What time is it then?"
"I heard that the announcement will be in tomorrow morning."
"Okay, will be there." she nodded and went straight back into preparing ingredients.
A few minutes later and I finished washing the dishes and sat near where Kim's preparing ingredients.
"Have you heard about what happened at the canteen?" I said while putting my hands between my face.
"No.. What happened?" I then explained to Kim what happen to Alex and Thea and what it's all about.
"Tsk. Tsk. Humans are so disgraceful.. I don't know what you love about humans that you just keep being okay around them." She waved her knife and pointed at me and went back on cutting the ingredients.
Tsh'
"Aren't you around with humans aswell.. Oh speaking of, how's your first day?" I look at her waiting for a reply.
"Well, Theres nothing really happen.. Its kinda boring.. I haven't been able to practice magic since there's no magic instructor there."
"I think there is a magic instructor but I heard she was on vacation.. If Im not mistaken her name was Professor Cynthia.. I heard she was a nice teacher but since there are no magic scholars yet she decided to go on a vacation, that's what my friend says anyway." I said and I lay down on the sofa.
Sigh'
"It's hard getting used to this... Back at the elven continent, trees everywhere spirits scattered at night and beautiful animals anywhere you go.. In here, all you can see is big tall buildings, endless vehicle noises and you can smell the smogs everywhere you go." I smiled thinking about the past.
"I miss them." I said it unconsciously.
"Me too." Kim.
Silence.
"Diners ready.." Kim's broked the unbearable silence.
"Sorry.." I said and got up and sit at the kitchen's table.
"There's nothing to be sorry of.. I know mom and dad is looking at us proudly and assured that we survived." She smiled and I just nodded.
I can't bear not to say my parents and miss them.. it's been about 5 years since our parents perished from the hands of the humans. Even though we wanted to take revenge and kill the humans who killed our parents, doing it will just make our life worse.
After we finished eating. I decided to take an early rest to be able to focus for tomorrow.
Next day.
Good morning!!'
I got up early and went straight to shower. I then prepare and iron my uniforms along with Kim's uniform. I also packed our lunch and went to knock on her door.
Knock* knock*
"Kim! Wake up!"
"Hmm.." she grunted and heard her walk to her bathroom. I then opened her door and put her uniform on her undone bed.
Tsk'
A few minutes later and she opened the door of her room and walked out with her uniform ready. We then ate for breakfast and went outside the apartments and locked it.
"Why are we 'sooo' early" her usual rant.
As usual'
"Hahahahah" I laughed and she look at me confuse.
"Why are you laughing? What is it so funny? Oh my gosh!? Is there a pimple on my face?!" She stopped and look something at her bag.
Tsh. So dramatic'
"Nothing Sis.. it's just you always ranting became my usual." I explained and she just furrowed her narrow brows and look at me annoyed.
"Tch. Whatever Azelia.. We wake up just too early"
Tss'
"8 am is not early sis, can't you see the sun.." I pointed at the sun while looking at her face.
"Tch. Let's go! We're going to be late." She said while fast-pace walked.
At school.
After you enter the gate of SIS you can already see the people at the quadrangle patiently waiting for the announcement.
"Oh my gosh!!"
"Its Alex!! He's here!!"
"Alex!! Notice me!!"
"Alex!! You're so handsome!!"
"I love you Alex!!"
Tss. Early in the morning and they already shouting'
Alex and his group waved to their fans that make them even scream louder.
Tch'
"Tss. In what way does people like them." She uttered and shooked her head in disappoinment.
Even me don't know in which way is it guys like them make them look attractive'
A few minutes later and the dean arrived and approached the small staged. He walked to the stage and slightly tap the mic.
"Test!! 1! 2! 3!.."
"Ehem!!.. Good morning Selenities Students, I'm Dean Enriquez and I would likely to introduce you The Owner of SIS Mr. Vaen Montenegro." An aplause from all students and staff members.
"Good morning Selenities! I have a wonderful anouncement.. SIS is chosen to conduct and help for a collaborative research party proven by the Imperial Government themselves!"
"Whoo!! GO SIS!!"
"SIS!!"
"LONG LIVE SELENITIES!!"
Is it that important'
I looked over to all of everyone's face and they all look impressed and excited. I don't know what importance that reaserch party is but I think it's kinda interesting.
"Now!! Let's show them what Selenities Geniuses offer!" They all cheered with excitement and joy.
