“Look what the cat dragged in.” “Get out Rowan!” “Why?” “You know that you shouldn’t be here.” “Are you still angry at me?” I squeezed my palms and took a step back. I need to leave this place, as soon as soon. Being here is dangerous, being with him is dangerous. “I don’t want to have anything to do with you again. In fact, I’d be glad it we never spoke again.” Liar His lips turned up in amusement. Of course he’d be amused, typical him. “Liar.” He said. Yes I am a liar. Lying is the only way that I can survive, lying is what preserved me for this long. So even if I need to lie myself to the grave, I will do so . “I hate you.” I spat out. He stepped closer to me, as though my words of spite only made him want more. “If you hate me, then why do you stare at me with those eyes?” I could see my reflection in his eyes and I knew he was right. “Your words lie but your eyes, don’t.” Don’t look! Don’t look or you’ll be trapped in his gaze. My inner voice screamed. Have you forgotten what happened before? “Rhea, look at me.” I know this is wrong, and I know one of us will get hurt but like a moth drawn to the flame, I am drawn to him. However, I will be burnt.
